Dear Guests, from 24th of March our restaurant will remain closed until further notice.
The original dry white wine, in color of amber, was made from the endemic MCVANE grape, hand-picked in the village of Ozio (Kakheti), which is famous for the variety of this grapevine. The wine matured for 7 months in traditional Georgian qwewri (clay amphoras) in Marani Elizbar 1918. A unique wine not subjected to final filtration, created under fully organic conditions. The aroma includes caramel and ripe apricots. Finish: a hint of bitter orange.
“This wine was made out of respect for tradition and our ancestors” – Davit Turkestanishvili
The wine was made from an ancient, forgotten grape variety from the Kakheti region called Kisi. Grapes were hand-picked in the village of Magraani, famous for this grape variety. For 7 months, the wine macerated in traditional Georgian qwewri (clay amphoras), in which chacha had previously been maturing, thus gaining a characteristic straw colour as well as the aromas of vanilla, apricots and tropical fruit. It has a rounded, silky flavour with quite distinct tannins. The beautiful bouquet is completed by blending our Mcvane wine from the same year which adds a unique nobility to the whole composition. The wine evokes the sun, joyful mood and the beauty of women.
“I dedicate this wine to the woman who inspires me to live – my wife” – Davit Turkestanishvili
